Question Torque Arm Mods for trans swap?

What do I need to do to put a Turbo 350 in my '86 Firebird?

Is there a specific or custom tailhousing with the torque arm mount I need, or is there a weld-on custom mount someone makes, or do I just rethink the rear suspension altogether? I have a welder, and I'm fair at fabricating if the situation deems it necessary.

I know I'll have to have a longer driveshaft made, but will I also need a longer torque arm? Common sense tells me I would, seeing that I would theoretically need the front u-joint and the pivot point of the torque arm in the same relative position, but I also am aware that the pliable rubber bushing in the front is to allow for a little fudging. Anyone who has done this before please enlighten me.

Re: Torque Arm Mods for trans swap?

I found what I was looking for; I can either get another torque arm from Competition Engineering (in Jeg's) or get the bracket for the TH350 from B&M. Thought I would post this in case anyone needed to know for future reference.
