TA and Z28 spindels the same?

I have a stripped hole for the top bolt on my brake caliper so I need to replace the spindel. Think a helicoil will hold or is that too crucial of a place for one?

For the same year, they are the same... 98+ are different than 93-97...

If you're going to go throught the trouble of changing out the spindle, you might want to do the 98+ LS1 brake upgrade...

I have a pair of LT1 spindles in my garage, you could have the one you need for free, but it wouldn't be worth the cost of shipping... Check your local salvage yard....

As for whether a Helicoil would hold... It probably would, but your brake calipers are pretty critical... I wouldn't risk it...

How much would shipping for that thing be to 75050? I'll pay the shipping. I dont wanna do the LS1 brakes. LT1 brakes work just fine for me.
