suspension geometry volcabulary

so i've been looking at torque arms and the like...

i was looking at the torque arm relocation kit from BMR. and they say the bracket allows for adjustment of "instant center".

now i know this is by moving the TA up or down on the bracket, and i think that changes the angle of the TA...in affect rotating the rear axle.

NOW...

is this the same as adjusting the pinion angle like you do with an adjustable torque arm??

as i get up there in power, i'd like to releive some of the stress off the tailshaft of the transmission. so i've been thinking of the relocation bracket, and now i see its ajustable. just looking for more info on it.
