suspension all off after rims?

I'm going to be getting some rims for my camaro soon, the local shop was going to hook me up with some rim 18x9 in the front and 19x10.5 in the back. is the extra inch of height in the back going to cause me any problems?

Also would this setup be wise if i were to lower my car?

And one last one, should i switch over to adjustable suspension parts and align everything myself, or just trust the aftermarket stuff already on there?

Installing taller rims in the back seems to be popular but I don't much care for it. The taller your rims get the less sidewall flex you have and the more twitchy the handling get at the limits. With a stock height tire I believe an 18" rim is about optimum. This is just my opinion, so you know what that s worth. As long as the tire size is chosen right, the taller rims won't make a difference.

Lowering the car is a personel thing, do you think it needs to sit lower?

personally i tihnk the rims will fill the gaps quite well, and i think it will scrape way too much if lowered, i just am trying to get the look of the back end sitting up slightly higher, hence the 19's in the back. Any special tire that you can recommend that will come in both of those sizes?

Even with wheels the same diameter, it will look higher in the rear anyway.

I wouldn't use 19's. You'll have no bite on a launch because you have no sidewall compliance.

I've used coilovers in the front and rear spring adjusters on mine and it looks like it has some rake. I wouldn't try to do it with wheels though.
