Steering linkage isn't long enough after Kmember install

The car had a dented Kmember. I replaced it with a straight one. I drove the car that the Kmember was from 2 weeks before it was parted out and it was good.

Anyway, everything is good. Bolts are tight. But the steering linkage will not reach part on the kmember that it connects to. I tried elongating it by undoing the nut at the top but there wasn't enough to make it even connect.

Is it possible that because of the wreck, the steering linkage was shoved in 1.5"? Because it connected fine with the dented one.

Is there a steering linkage that is 1.5" longer that I could use if that is the case?
