stearing wheel vibration

Hello,

My stearing wheel vibrates on my 95 Z28 whenever I reach 65 MPH, and it gets worst when I increase speed. I just had a front allignment done and got four new tires and had them balanced. Ive heard people talk about the driveshaft being the cause of this could this be the problem? The car only has 29,000 miles, the wheel bearings are fine and the shocks are fine. If any one can give me some ideas on how I could fix this It would help alot.

Thanks,
Chris

The most common cause is tire/wheel balancing. Just because you had the wheels recently balanced doesn't mean that they didn't screw up. You could also have a tire with a bad belt; try rotating the rear tires to the front and see if things change.

The tires on the back are 255's and the ones on the front are 245's, could it be because I have wider tires on the back of my car then in the front I am getting this vibration? I am on the factory 16'' rims also.

A difference is size won't cause a vibration. Rotate the tires front to back and see if the vib goes away. If it does, then you know the 245's need to be rebalanced or have a shifted belt.
