squeak from rear axle

I have a squeak coming from the rear axle that for the life of me I can't find. I've heard that in 95 which is the year of my car the z28's rear axles had some kind of trouble with this. Has anyone heard of this and if so what I need to do to fix it. Thanks for the help

I think you need to lubricate the bussings.

My rear had an annoying squeak. Turned out a LCA bolt was a little loose and was causing it.

We had the same issue with 97 Z28, turned out to be the rubber gromet where the shock bolts to the body. Had to pull carpet in back to access but it was an easy fix with new shocks. The rubber gromet separates the upper shock mount bolt from the body, ours was split allowing the metal bolt to rub on the body with every movement of the car. Squeak about drove us crazy before finding it.

When my '95 had a squeak, well maybe a groan, coming from the back, it turned out to be the suspension hanger.
