Spohn Drag Bar and Moser 12 Bolt
Spohn Drag Bar and Moser 12 Bolt
Really not a question, more of a heads up for anyone planning on this setup. Finally getting to put my car back together and couldn't get the Spohn Drag bar to fit in between the lower shock mounts. Anyways, long story short, I was already to get mad at Spohn so I gave them a call. Come to find out Moser doesn't pay exact attention where they mount the shock mounts. Compared the measurement off of a stock rear end and the mounts on the Moser are about a total of 1.5" closer together, (3/4" per side). Doesn't sound like alot, but enough if you're trying to run a large sway bar like the Spohn unit. Now I'm going to have to cut the existing mounts off and move them "out". Just a little heads up for you guys.
Re: Spohn Drag Bar and Moser 12 Bolt
After seeing how close the Spohn bar is to the shocks with the lower shock mounts in the correct postion, I can see why you ran into a problem with the Moser being so far off. The ends of the bar were so close to the shocks that I had to rotate the QA1 shocks 180-deg to get the adjuster **** away from the end links.

Yes Fred. I took a close look at your pictures before the install and had turned my shocks around so that the **** was facing out. I'm running the rear coil over kit which has adjustable height rear shocks so it's even more close as I believe the diameter of the adjustable height shock is slightly larger.
