Question Somethings BAD is Wrong with Suspension!

For some reason there is a very loud popping noise coming from the driver's front strut on my car or rather that general area of the car. I can pop the hood and push down right over the strut and make it pop just the same as if driving. Also, once in reverse if I "goose" the car it literally sounds like the driver's side frontend is coming out from under the car. It doesn't pull to that side when driving and the noise gets louded when raining. Could something be loose? I allowed my little brother whom just graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College to change the struts and shocks on my car. Both rear shocks needed tightening after about 3-4 months of driving. My real concern is that its something else mechanical. Where should I look first?

Thanks for any help,

J.B. McPherson

I would also check the front swaybar, endlink, and bushing.
