So I cut my springs..
This was only after I installed some BMR or close drop spring with new shocks and perches from SLP. Problem was my car dropped down to about 26" off the front fender and about the same in the rear.. WAY too low with my LTs!
So I got frustrated and decided I was still dropping my damn car with stock springs so I ran over to Autozone to rent a compressor. I ended up cutting off about 3/4" of an inch on the front and just taking out the rubber mount in the rear... now it all sits 27.5" off the fenders all the way around which is about 1"-1.5" lower than stock going off a friends stock car. Some guys say you have to take off a full coil but thats not necessarily true.. you just have to line everything back up properly which can be done by eye if you have the other coil/shock assembly to look at.
The only downside to this is that my car is sloppy. Im not sure if its the springs or the shocks.. my guess is the shocks since they are stock with 105k on them. Yeah I know but I didnt have time or new shocks to replace them with. I did notice the new combo I had on for less than a day was drastically better than the stock ride as far as cornering is concerned... hard to believe the difference actually!
