Re: slp panhard rod

With no other change to the car except poly/poly LCAs, my 95 Formula would have consistent bind when pushed to the limit. This led to two spins off track, before I decided to back off a tad and drive at 95% for the rest of the day. Overnight I changed to rod/poly LCAs that a friend had and the bind disappeared. If you are not experiencing bind, then you aren't really pushing the car to the limit. Also, like Jon A stated, I really hope you aren't pushing your car that hard on the street. The first time you experience bind in a situation where you are at the limit, you are most likely going to loose the rear and spin. Even with half a dozen or more track days under my belt pushing the car to the limit, I was never able to react quick enough to avoid a spin from bind in the poly/poly LCAs while cornering at the limit.

As to what's the best LCA?
Rod/rod LCAs offer the best performance, and if you get quality units there shouldn't be much of a ride quality impact (I'd recommend either LG or Unbalanced Engineering). Just make sure you get units with really good rod ends, and also be prepared to replace them every year or two as needed.
If ride quality is a major concern, stick with stock. They work reasonably well and have no bind issues and won't compromise ride quality.

Is it possible to change them to rod ends? And also im not gonna suffer if I have poly/poly right? I havent taken it through the twisties 100 % yet and dont plan on it for a while and the only fast driving I do is straight so I will be ok right?
