Shocks to go with Eibach ProKit???

i want to get the 3870.240 eibach prokit for my 2000 v6 camaro, can someone suggest some specific shock part numbers that will work well with this kit? Where Can I get Shocks?

I have a pending question into Summit's website but anyone here know?

Also

How about these springs, are they just as good as the eibach springs? Anybody have them?

I can help you with both shocks and springs. I sell Eibach, but we don't recommend them much these days because of some issues with ride height consitency. We have our own springs, Hotchkis, Eibach, H&R, and on and on. Plenty of choices. Same with shocks, but there are few shocks that are really well suited for lowered cars. BARE minimum are Tokico HP's, KYB AGX's are a step up, and then Koni's are the best by far. Bilstein's are not available at this time and have nothing intended for lowering springs.

A bit off topic but aren't the current Bilstein HD's the SLP valving?

I also found a shop that had some Bilsteins still in stock. I called to make sure and they should be here Friday.....

Yeah but Eibach is the only company that makes a kit for the v6 f-body. Are you saying that using v8 springs in front is okay? I also want only 1-1.5" lower than stock.

Sam - my car is a street car, I want something that's going to lasts a long time as I plan on having my car for 5-10 years more, provides a soft ride and is a good price. please email me some part quotes at kevinbeair@aol.com

thanks

A classis case of some companies just not getting it. An all cast iron V-6 isn't exactly light compared to a cast iron block/aluminum head LT1, or all aluminum LS1.

I'm happy to discuss things with you, feel free to call me. However, I can't just send you a list becaue it'd huge. You could look at my website if you want, to get an idea. However, right away I have a concern. Lowering springs do not provide a soft ride. If you want that, we need to think about not lowering, or lowering on stock springs with a set of Koni's (only about 3/4" front, 1/2" rear). That will give you the best ride and great control, think BMW Sport suspension. Harder and lower springs are simply stiffer and less compliant, and that's a factor in ride.
