Shocks for 98 Z-28
Shocks for 98 Z-28
I now have 80,000 miles on my Z-28 and it is time for shocks. I will
probably replace all 4. I am just a summer driver, and only need a quality
choice, and not for performance.
Can you give me some ideas? For me in North Dakota, I have a convertible,
only drive it 3,000 miles per year, so keep that in mind.
Thanks, Jerry

Bilstein, KYB or Koni. First two are less expensive, around $400 or so, and Koni's are $800 about. All are good. I went with Bilsteins to save some money. Do a search for more info
+1 for the KYB.I only drive about that same amount of miles, thus i bought a set of 4 used from Ebay thus saved big bucks off new. They also were adjustable which means you can have a softer ride or performance one.Kyb also makes a Gas adjust shock if you don,t need the adjustable version.
I have the KYB gas-adjust on my trans am. I drive mine about 5K per year and these are perfect. They were not expensive and made a huge difference of the stock decarbon shocks. I think I got a whole set for like $350 on the net. The rears were real easy to do. I had a shop do the front shocks they were a bit more difficult.
