Question shock questions

i bought my 94 a little bit ago and the guy i bought it from had it lowered, but im not sure of inchwise. anytime i hit a bump in the road, say a small groove or sudden dip it feels like the backend is bottoming out. wondering if that is my shocks and if i should replace them. i dont have the money to buy some good shocks right now, but i was wondering if there is any i could pick up that were decent but a good price. any suggestions? thanks!

Re: shock questions

SLP take offs if they are still selling them $25.00.

Also check and make sure your rear bumpstops are still there. They had rotted off on my '95. Even with stock stock springs and no lowering. They will turn to black powder.

Re: shock questions

SLP take offs are STOCK shocks and will not properly dampen any aftermarket spring.

Re: shock questions

Sounds like you might have lowered springs with stock shocks. You can use the SLP Bilstein's..... or a lil firmer ride with regular Bilstein HD's or a lil harder with Strano revalved Bilstein's. I would recommend a Koni but it's pricey. I went with Bilstein cuz it was affordable. But what springs do you have..any parts numbers on the spring that you can see?
