right rear making noise and sagging help!

Well my girlfriend was driving my car with me in it and we turned into a parking lot and boom...big *** pothole. I had to get out of the car and check it cause it hit so hard i thought it might have cracked my rim or blown my tire
Anyway everything seemed ok so we continued on. I must not have noticed it for a day or 2 cause my subs are so damn loud but we were driving with the music of and what sounded like the right rear was making a screeching kinda hitting noise that is very annoying.
So I was looking at my car and noticed that the right rear was lower than the rest of the car. I found i could fit 3 fingers between the top of the left rear tire and the fender well, but i could not on the right rear.
I jacked up the car thinking that it was a broken spring but the spring seemed to be fine, also the shock wasnt leaking oil or anything (unless they're gas charged im not sure they are stock)
Sorry for writing a novel on it but I wanted you to know exactly what happened because I would like to fix it as soon as possible.

Btw to make matters worse I got a call today and I got laid off...

Question Bad axle bearing ? Bent axle tube ?

Both are WAGS, admittedly. I don't know if you can bend a lower control arm, but even if you could or did , I don't see how that would cause a screeching noise.

Perhaps this bump will serve to allow someone else to come in and blow my theories out of the water - I am OK w/ that.

Good Luck !
