Removing brake hoses from the hard lines

I posted a question about this earlier, and was told that flare nut wrenches and pb blaster should be used. I have been giving the nut on the end of the hard line a squirt of pb blaster over the past day or so. I put on the flare wrench and gave it a try, but it didnt work. I may have given up too quickly b/c b/c Im paranoid about rounding the nut. Would heat be beneficial to break the rust free? If so, should I be using a mapp torch or is propane fine? (I will be replacing the rubber hoses with stainless).

Mike.

Often, flared fittings loosen best when "cracked" open. That means you securely put your flare nut wrench on it and give it a sharp pop to break it free. A lot of times it works better than steady, increasing pressure. Then, of course, there are those fittings that just won't come off without being destroyed.
