Racers Edge Extreme Torque Arm

I've been looking at torque arms for a little while now and all seem to offer the same things but for much different prices. I don't mind having to pay the prices they are sold at but I'm having a little trouble figureing out what they offer over the others. I'm looking for a torque arm that bolts to the crossmember instead of the trans tail. I found on ebay a company called racers edge and they sell a torque arm and cross member that look pretty beefy for only $85 + $20 shipping. Sounds too good to be true. I'm wondering if it's the materials he used that makes it cheap or the method of construction. Anyone tried these arms before?

There is no product that someone else can't make a little crappier and sell a little cheaper. These guys came up with a design that is a LOT crappier. No allowance for the front mount to twist or move fore/aft, no adjustment for pinion angle, rear end mounts look flimsy, ground clearance at front mount is poor. I wouldn't put that on my car at any price.

I would not waste my money on that torque arm. You will regret it. I would save up to buy a spohn that bolts to the frame. You will be very pleased with it.

thanks for the replies, I figured the lack of r&d would be the reason for the price. I'm gona go look at the sphoons now.

If you are seriosu about your setup, wait (if you have to) and buy the best.

Re: Racers Edge Extreme Torque Arm

i have an extreme torque arm setup from racers edge and it wasnt $85 it was more like $250 plus shipping.so far i have found it awsome, the cross mount has been updated it is now only 1 inch thick. and the rear end mount is a lot different than the pics that were on ebay.it installed in about 1 hour and 15 min. it did decrease my wheel spin and eliminated wheel hop.it has been my best upgrade yet, plus he offers a lifetime warranty, so where could you possibly go wrong.
