How much would a mechanic shop charge to swap out the OE worn out bushings for the polyurethane bushings (kit)? I bought a prothane upper and lower A - Arm bushing kit.
I have the K-member out of the car and stripped down. I was thinking I might load it up and take it the the shop and have them swap out the bushings. Would they LIKELY charge an arm and a leg even tho i have already bought the parts and grease? I
Any estimates? Man hours?

John D's pricing sounds pretty good.
Are you planning to have them assemble the lowers back on to the k-member? I'd wait and put them on at home...
It is pretty nice to have that out and clean it.
Probably one man hour with the right tools.

yep. It was nice to pressure wash 150k miles and 15 years worth of funk of that thing.
Im guessing the lowers are pretty easy? I just need the shop to do the pressing since i dont have a press or impact gun for that matter...everything else i can do

Hey aaron.
Once the bushings are in, it's up to you to complete the install into the k-member. A few tips: Take a flat file or similar tool and make sure there are no sharp edges on the pickup points (where the a-arms bolt in) on the k-member. With fresh new bushings sometimes those edges can catch and slice into the bushing, which makes it harder to put it. Also, if you got a little packet of lube with them, use it about 2/3 on the wide side of the bushing and 1/3 on the narrow side. Lube helps a lot.
Don't worry if they seem difficult to put in. They fit pretty tight on purpose.
