Problem with rear brakes.

Okay so lately my car has been shaking and theres been a loud squeel coming from the back of my car when I come to a stop. I figured it was just the rear brakes going bad so today in auto I decided to replace my back brakes. The passenger side went on fairly easy but the driver side was a real PITA. I first noticed that the old pads were worn crooked and that one of the pads was almost completely gone. I used a clamp sort of tool to open up the caliper to put the new pads in and reinstall it. I got the caliper as wide as I could but for some reason but it seems like my parking break is slightly engaged because the inside pad is pushed out slightly on the front side (where the parking break mechanism is). The rotor was just a little shy of fitting in so I threw it on a brake lathe and turned it. it was warped BAD. so I got it pretty decent now and it was a very tight squeeze between the brake pads. I got it all back together and it seems like its driving fine. Did my brakes re-adjust themselves? sorry this is so long but I needed to explain it all.
