Are Powerslot rotors worth it on the front?

I am doing LS1 front brakes on my Z28. Here is my plan:

For the front rotors I am debating on Powerslots or just a "plain-Jane" rotor with Hawk HPS brake pads. Which should I go with?

For the rear rotors I am just replacing the rotors with "plain-Jane" rotors and putting on Hawk HPS brake pads. I am staying with the LT1 rear brakes, and not converting to the LS1 rear brakes.

My friend owns a car stereo/performance shop so I can get a pretty good price on the Powerslots as well as the Hawk pads. I can't remember how much they are off the top of my head but I have it written down somewhere.

Thanks guys!

Yes the slotted design allow's the hot boiling gasses to escape through the slot's and that greatly reduces brake fade in hard braking.

Ive had them on the front of my 95 for awhile now with Hawk ceramic pad's and it is much better than stock.

I just figured I would add that I drive my car on the street and take it to the drag strip 2 or 3 times a year at the most. Just in case that needs to be a factor in your decision.

Same here my car is my daily driver i take it to the strip 2-5 times a year. But i also take long trip's to the coast or to the mountains and it's nice to have that extra braking power to help with steep grades or if you might have to make an emergency stop.

I plan on getting some powerslot rotor's for the rear's soon with some nice Hawk pad's then i should be all set for a daily driver!
