Stock replacement rotors that are heavier (stock is ~16lbs for the fronts. Most replacements are 18lbs up. Brands like Wagner, Brembo, Bendix are all better than stock), some better pads like Hawk HPS or Axxis Metal Master, and some fresh and more performance oriented brake fluid like ATE Superblue.

I have the Powerslot rotors on my car, and so far they've been working great . I believe I bought/installed them at the start of '06, with a set of Hawk HPS pads. I took the car out on a couple track days, and the brakes seemed to work fairly well (a little bit of fading, but who knows if that was the pads and/or the fluid? ). BUT, what I DIDN'T like were the Hawk pads . While they did a great job of stopping the car (which obviously, is important) they dusted and squealed really bad. I hated that. This year I switched and started running ceramic pads. They're not any particular name brand (I think they're called "Satisfied" brakes? ) but I believe they're manufactured by a company like Wagner or Bendix . I've taken the car out a few more times to the track with these pads (and the Powerslot rotors) and the stopping power has still been very good (for street pads), they don't squeal, and they only dust moderately after running the track ... hardly at all just street running .

Hope that helps you out! FWIW, I believe Hawk makes ceramic pads for our cars too.

do the hawk pads dust more than stock pads under normal to moderate street driving? my c6 wheels stay clean with the stock pads. also did your hawk pads always squeal? or only after they were abused for awhile?

I just put a 4 wheel disc SSBC kit on my car, and they seem to work pretty well. The rotors are slotted, and under fairly heavy braking from highway speeds they give a slight vibration, i'm assuming from the slots. Under normal braking they do not vibrate. I've noticed less dust than with my previous VGX pads, and the feel is the same. They were cake to install and I'd get another set. The rear drivers side pads took a bit to wear in (not leaving an even swept path) but now they're great. The only thing I don't like is that they rusted up on the non-swept area. I wasn't expecting them to look new forever though :P The kit was 280 or so. I'm happy

Ceramic pads are harder and will wear your rotors quicker. I'm running the Axxis pads on my daily driver with open wheels and they dust is minimal. These and the HPS are the same pads that Sam Strano says he runs. I really like mine.

I wouldn't just go with some part store pads though. I had Wagner Thermoquiets and they sucked. They were quiet, and no dust, but they faded when pushed even slightly. Get some performance pads unless you don't mind less braking performance.
