poly bushings in stock LCA's - now seem too sloppy

I replaced the rubber bushings in my stock Rear 1995 Z28 trailing arms with poly about 5 years ago and the car handled like a new Z06 for a year or more now it is back to it's old self. Should I check the mouting brackets to see if they have flexed themselves into metal fatigue or buy Spawn LCA's with poly bushings in them. Something has weakened over time and it seems unlikely it was the poly bushings. Anyone experienced this? http://web.camaross.com/forums/image...s/confused.gif

Well, I don't know too much about poly bushings, but I just got some lca's today with poly bushings and it says to only use some kinda silicon based synthetic water-proof grease.. Maybe if you used petroleum based grease, it wore them down faster.

It's been said before and you can find a fair amount of information by doing some searching... but basically poly is not a good bushing material... it deforms and holds that deformation. My guess would be that if you pull you're lca's you'll find that there's a whole lot of slop in the bushings.

If you want compliant but firm handling AND durability... go with a harder durometer rubber. If you want handling with handling AND handling (and are willing to sacrifice all else at the altar of Handling)... then go rod end. Avoid poly unless you're comfortable replacing your bushings regularly. The poly bushings in my swaybars lasted about 20,000 miles... I just replaced them with new ones but next time I'm putting in a solid endlink.
