Pics of lowered car with Konis and smaller rear Isolator w/stock springs

Does anyone have any pics of this setup? I currently run the Eibach Pro-Kit and Bilsteins and hate the ride over bumps. I was talking to Sam Strano and he told me about this setup. He saids you get about 3/4 of a inch with the shocks and smaller rubber. Anybody with this set up please chime in. Thanks.....John

Hey John, I run the Koni's on my car set up like Sam told you. I installed the rear spring without the isolator, and a section of heater hose over the top coil of the spring. On the fronts, the Koni's have 2 settings for the snap ring that holds the lower spring cup; they are approximately 1/2 inch apart. I have mine set on the lower setting. With this setup, my car sits about 3/4 of an inch lower than stock. The ride is great, and the stance is perfect, just enough to get rid of the 4X4 look on an f body. I wouldn’t want to go any lower than what I have, especially on the wonderful roads here in NJ. At one point years ago, I ran Eibach springs with KYB's, and the ride was horrible; car hit bumps hard, and skipped all over the place when it did, not fun or enjoyable at all. Go with the Koni’s and the stock springs installed the way Sam recommended, and how I have it. You will love it.

Do you have any pics of your car with this setup? My current setup is like your old setup. It carves nice but the bumps are horrible, especially when the rear end skips. By the way, who is the chick in your Avatar? Very nice, Very nice..............John

Hey John, I will try to take some pics over the weekend. I’m a little busy with a t top conversion right now.

Without a doubt, go with the setup I run, and Sam recommended, it will feel like a totally different car. It will handle way better, and the ride is awesome.

As far as the chic in the avatar, if I knew her, I would be sitting here typing this response.

What part # koni's are you mentioning for the front and would it make a difference if I'm running QA1 drag shocks in the rear?
