Parking Brake Q??

Hey fellows, my parking brake is not working, it feels kind of loose, like if something snaped, so when ever I lift the parking brake stick it just goes all the way to the top causing no stop what so ever. so one had mention some kind of cable?? does this make sense and where could I get one??

Thanks.

Need to inspect it first. The cable runs along the driveshaft tunnel, just above the driveshaft.

If it's the cable, I'm sure the dealer has it but a salvage yard might be a better deal.
