Paint SFC welds?

Hi All,

I had some sub frame connectors welded on a couple weeks ago. I was wondering if I should paint the welded areas to keep them from rusting. Is this something I even need to worry about?

Thank you,
-Greg

Definitely paint them, or the welds will rust. I had a shop weld in my SFCs and I was going to take the car home and paint them. The installer took the liberty of spraying the weld areas with rubber undercoating. It was definitely sloppy, but I guess it does the trick. I would have still prefered to have painted them a matching color.
