Need help with suspension install

OK, I went to midas the other day to ask about having my shocks/springs changed and they quoted me at $600 and they told me the lowest they'd go is $500. Well, I was like "" and I decided I just needed to do it myself. I think I will take the strut assembly to them because they'll do those for $75. Now, I remember finding a very detailed guide with pictures on how to do shocks/springs but I can't find it now. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. I'm a very visual person.

There used to be several photo guides on brent franker's site, but all the links are now bad. I'd send him a PM and ask him if he knew where the new links are. But on a more personal note 600$ for all that? If it includes good quality springs and shocks, that's not really rape, but they are playing with your hiney a tad. But if that's for labor only, then forget them. The rear shocks and springs are easy, and even the front can be handled fairly easy if you follow a certain method. (aka dont try and remove/install the front springs yourself, have that done for 20$) My haynes manual has more than a few pics of the project.

Bone Daddy: that quote was labor only. I already have Eibach springs and Bilstein socks.

Black_z28: thanks those should help me out.

$600 sounds high for just labor. Try a wheel/tire shop...they usually also specialize in suspension. I have shop out here in CA (labor rate is always high) quoting $300 for my front and rear Bilsteins. Yeah, you're doing springs too, but they're touched already with the front shocks and the rears are very quick.

If you don't end up doing it yourself....try your local wheel/tire guys.
