Need to bleed brake lines... Any tips/suggestions??

My father wants me to put new calipers on his 99 Vette. They aren't any different then stock, just painted. Putting the calipers on shouldn't be a problem, but I never bled brake lines before. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to do it?

Its actually very simple. And to make things easier, replace and bleed one side at a time. You will need 2 people. Once you have the line bolted to the new caliper have your buddy pump the pedal a few times, and on the last pump have him hold the pedal to keep pressure in the lines. With his foot on the brake, crack the bleeder for a second or two and then tighten the bleeder again. Then have him pump the pedal again and repeat the same process until you see a steady stream of fluid with no air bubbles. As you may know, brake fluid and paint do not get along so be careful of that. And dont forget to top off the master cyl.
