I have an 89 IROC Z28. The steering column is developing lateral play. Movement is on the tilting part of the column. Has anyone ever had a problem like this? Suggestions on a fix will Greatly Be Appreciated!

You will need to partially disassemble the steering column (i.e. remove the steering wheel, etc.) and find the bolts inside there. Chances are they're loose.

 

Either the bolts in the colum worked loose or the tilt column pins are worn. Both are comnon.
