Mushy brakes

For some reason the car feels like it doesnt want to brake. I push as hard as possible and it barely wants to stop, it's like there isnt enough psi or something. At higher rpm's it feels ok but lower rpm's and speeds it's dangerous. Any ideas?

Power brakes are assisted by vacuum. Since you've changed cams and heads, what's your vacuum reading at idle? Stock the LT1 is probably around 20" of vacuum. Some guys have added a vacuum reservoir to regain vacuum for the brake booster at idle.

Re: Mushy brakes

I suggest you put a vacuum gauge on your car and verify it's poor vacuum. You may also have a vacuum leak causing the issue. If it just a bi-product of the cam, I'd look at Summit Racing for a vacuum reservoir.
