lowering springs

i want to get some lowering sprigns for my car but am not sure which ones to go with. to be honest im not THAT worried about performance i want them more just to tuck my tires into the wheel well a little better. i was checking out Eibach pro's, BMR, and MAC. Eibach is like 240, BMR is 200 and MAC is 160 or something. They are all progressive rate and lower about 1" except eibach claims around 1.25". any oppinions on these different springs. im thinking about the MACs because they are what im looking for and fairly inexpensive. any one know of a cheaper spring then the MACs and anyone have any problems or heard bad thigns abuot them? just looking for general thoughts and oppinions. thanks

Re: lowering springs

If your willing to wait a lil while to see what the height looks like with Prokit's...Next week I'll be done with my spring and shock install. I did the rears last week and with stock springs I use to be able to fit four fingers between the tire and wheel well rim. Now I can only fit two fingers and it still needs to settle so maybe it will drop a tiny bit more. The drop looks decent but I'm not fully done yet as I'm waiting for other parts for other mods. Anyhow, I'll send you pictures when I'm done, just remind me on monday for pics.

Re: lowering springs

If you want progressive rate springs, then the ones you have listed will work (I would pick Eibach out of the list). But if you want linear rate springs, then consider ordering some custom springs. I ordered springs from Suspension Spring Specialists for $50-60 each and I was able to specify the rate and lengths I wanted. IMO this is a much better solution than the off-the-shelf spring sets, but thats mainly because I didnt want progressive rate springs.
