Lowered camaro

I have a 98 camaro z28 and I am getting some 18's on the front and 19's with 315s on the back. I know the couple little mods I need to do to fit those on my stock suspension, but I am wondering what I will have to do to drop it 1.2 inches.

I would go for a nice set of KYB or Koni shocks and then get the lowering springs, just adding lowering springs without a nice set of shocks can make the car look good but it will handle sloppy because of all the geometry being off. Depending on your budget get yourself some nice lower control arms and the lower control arm relocation brackets at least to help with the geometry of the suspension being lowered. Hope this helps alittle bit, take care.

I upgraded to Eiback lowering springs with a 1" drop, Spohn rear control arms and panhard rod and KYB front struts and rear shocks.

The car handles great and can take sharp corners without a lot of body roll or flexing.

you need lowering springs to lower the car. The spring is responsibile for how high the car sits.
I would talk to Sam strano or strarnoparts.com.

I second that, Sam is great to deal with and only sells you what you need. I did his suspension package 4 and am very happy with the results. Definately get a set of his swaybars, they make a HUGE difference in the feel of the car.

Anybody hear running Eibach Sportlines or Ground Control coilovers?

My car had a set of Eibach's on it with the DeCarbons and I swapped those in favour of a set of Koni adjustables with Strano springs. I like the ride better myself, but it wasn't as big a difference as I was anticipating. I still have to play with the settings on the shocks though. The biggest thing is these parts are matched to each and work well together so you get a better ride quality. The Eibachs I am told are too much spring for the Decarbons.
