Lower control arm bushing questions

I have the Prothane bushing kit for u/l control arms. The uppers were easy. The lowers present two questions:

1. Do I bang out and reuse an outer shell from the rear/vertical bushing? front/horizontal bushing?

2. How do I separate the inserts to reuse them? Local machine shops look at them and act like they have never seen this before.

I figured out the rear LCA problem. Bang out the shell. What about separating the inserts to reuse them? Any ideas for home or keep looking for a shop?

If I recall right, the instructions say you have to reuse the shell.... I dont have the instruction here... Fill you in tomorrow, thats if you can wait....

UPDATE: I had the PST polygraphite front end kit and yes the instruction had me reuse the shells....

Depends. Sometimes you just get the insert and have to re-use the shell, sometimes you get shell and all.
