looking for a lightweight brake system

I am looking for a lightweight brake system for my LT1. I would like brake performance to be at least a little better than LS1 brakes but still lighter. Any body know of a company? Also, i was wondering if the LT1 spindles weigh more than the LS1 spindles and if they do than by how much and would it be worth a conversion?
Thanks for the responses,
Tony

until they build a titanium spindle (which they never will) there's no use.
the LT1 spindle weighs about the same as the LS1 spindle, except for the 'ear'

Wilwood, but be prepared to spend ~$2K for all 4 wheels which actually isn't a bad deal for what you get.

This is the kit I'm going to be upgrading my car with either next summer or the one after.

Strange makes lightweight brakes that have a very nice fit and finish. They ran about 925.00 fronts and 550.00 rears. New spindles, rotors, calipers and pads.

Mark Williams and Aerospace also make lightweight brake set-ups for the 4th Generation F-body. Billingsley Racing sells both the Strange and the Aerospace kits.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three I listed above. Mark Williams being the most expensive and the Aerospace the most economical. The Aerospace probably offers the least weight savings although I doubt the difference is very much. Personally, I'm looking at the Aerospace system because of budget constraints.

Re: looking for a lightweight brake system

Thanks for the resopnses guys. As for what this setup is used for, it will be used a little for drag strip and the rest for the street. No real autocrossing with this car. But there might be short periods of slamming on the brakes in repeated sessions for no more than 3 minutes to evade certain law authorities and such. But that is it.
tnaks guys
