Line lock ??

I already searched and couldn't find out if this was normal so here goes
After using line lock is it normal for the red brake light to come on the next few times the brakes are applied??? Yes the system has been bled. Once the car sits the light doesn't come on until the line lock is used again. The pedal is still nice and firm and it stops fine just the light is anoying. If this is normal that fine if not I would like to fix it.

Thanks Dan

Re: Line lock ??

I have one from SLP and the brake light comes on when activated. My brakes are fine. Its actually nice because I definitely know its on when the brake light is on. It turns off when I deacivate the switch.

Re: Line lock ??

The brake system has a differential pressure switch. When you activiate the line lock it holds pressure on the front brake system but not the rear. This generates a differential pressure causing the brake light to come on. If you press down firmly on the brake pedal after the line lock is deactivated, the light will go off.

Re: Line lock ??

I have the SLP line lock kit, and it sometimes will trigger the brake light, but not always. If it does come on it, it will go off after a short time.

Well being as the combination valve is part of the ABS unit you have to put the solenoid in between it and the master. I guess its normal operation for the light to come on and then goes off after a few stops.

Thanks
