Limits of stock ls1 rotors?

I was wondering when do you think the limit of rotors are?

I have 41,000 on the original rotors not warped or anything. Should I get them replaced or maybe just turn them?

Also you guys reccomend an all around decent pad? looking for low dust and at least as good as stock if not better in stopping. Price is a influence. I had a set fo Hawks on my 94, they were sweet but a bit pricey.

If they are not warped and not causing problems I wouldn't turn them, that will make them weaker if anything. You do need to check them for hairline cracks though.

Cool I will inspect them for sure...

anyone else have any opinions? I mean should I jsut replace them when I do pads shortly, like way the rotor will last me past 50k,

don't really feel like pulling them out in like 10k miles jsut to redo them rather spend the money and do them now.

You're lucky I warped mine within 10,000 miles.

Im going with hawk pads and sloted rotors should be a nice upgrade from my worn out LT1 stockers.

I would go with Porsche TT 14 inches but they would not fit with my stock wheels. MMMMMMMMMMMM 14 inch 4 piston MMMMMMMMMM

you will like the hawks...

I had hawks on my 94, with stock lt1 rotors and calipers, and car stopped about even with my 2000 except the hawk pads had less brake fade.

yeah its wierd alot of people had warping problems and mine are going strong, I figured I woudl have warped them before they went bad.

Is there a kit for this conversion? Do they fit under 17" wheels?

Mustang, I am also upgrading to LS1's

kgkern01, I did a seach on LS1tech a year or so back and there is a company that does it for the LT1 and now the LS1 as far as I know. I think you need larger wheels, might want to e-mail him, very cool guy and these brakes make baer claws look like a joke.
