ladder bar to 4 link conversion

I got great deal on a shortened 12 bolt set up for ladder bars less axles, anyways i would rather have a 4 link because i know they are better for tuning and im back halving the car either way. I know cuting off the ladder bar setup and welding on a 4 link setup might distort the tubes but what would be the best way to do so? Should get it straightened after or before welding. Is it even worth all the work or should i just go with ladder bars?

I doubt very much that it'll warp the tubes by much if any. I've done a couple installs of both Ladder-Bar and 4-Link setups, and I've never had any issues.

Typically I cut the brackets off roughly with a Plasma cutter (A cut-off wheel works well too but takes longer) then grind the tube clean, being sure to keep moving and not heat everything up too crazy. Then re-position everything and weld the new brackets on.

The only time I really have to wory if the axle is straight or not is when I'm shortening it and re-welding the tubes and welding the new ends on the tubes.

I have a plasma cutter so it wont be that bad. Should i get the straightness checked or not even bother? Whats the price range for having the straightness checked?
