Instructions On Changing Brake Pads.

I feel like a real idiot asking how to do this, but I don't believe I did it right the last time. After I changed them the last time I kept hearing a pinging noise at idleing speeds. I found out that the caliper was rubbing on the rotor. I also need to know how to reset the parking brake. Any/All help and tips are greatly appreciated.

Not sure if it matters but I bought the Hawk HPS pads and cross drilled/slotted rotors. Thanks in advance.

Hmm. I don't feel like such an idiot after all. Guess I'm not the only one that doesn't know how to change their brakes.

It's not that we don't know how, it's that you should. Buy a Haynes manual, or search GooGle for a how-to. Basically you just use a allen-head socket, remove the caliper, compress the piston, remove the old pads, add the new ones, and install the caliper. The LT1 brake change is one of the easiest.

It's great that this is an informational message board and people are telling you to buy a Haynes manual. Or search the net.

Take a joke,

Truth is, this question is basic knowledge and has been answered a hundred times here already. Excuse us if we tell you to search because we've answered the same question a hundred times and you can't be bothered to click the button. And a repair manual should be bought as standard equipment, or before you even post. That way you don't look/feel stupid as you stated. No harsh feelings, and I know Ive seen you post on more technical matters than this. We expect more of you!
