INstalling new brakes, soloBleeders worth the extra $$?

I'll be installing new brakes soon, and in doing so will need to bleed them. Is it worth it to buy Earl's solo-bleeders to help with the process? Is it a big messy PITA to do it w/o them?

bleeding the brakes is pretty easy. The only need i see for the solo bleeder is if you can't find someone skilled enough to pump a brake pedal. Just fill up the reservoir and get them to pump the pedal, open the bleeder screw on the farthest brake away from the master cylinder and let the air out. Move around until you get to the closest and see what the pedal is like. If there is still air start again.

In short, no its not worth it. All you need is a set of wrenches a bucket and a helper.

To bleed solo I wedge a piece of wood[padded for the seat area] between the pedal and the seat.. takes longer sure, BUT it works...

No they're not worth it. I bought a set of all four corners and I disliked them so much that I threw the stockers back on. The plunger kept sticking. So they wouldn't bleed correctly. It was annoying as hell. I just got a friend that helped me bleed the brakes.
