How to make a convertible handle at its best...

Alright well im looking into picking up an 02 T/A convertible and i know that convertibles arent built as rigid as hardtops so im looking to add stuff to make it handle/perform as good as a convertible can. What all do i need to look into getting to do this? I know sfc's for sure but what else? I heard that a role cage will greatly increase the rigidity of a covertible, is this true? I know nothing when it comes to suspension and handling so if yall could please help me out here id appreciate it. Im not building it into a race car or anything (if i wanted a race car i would have bought a hardtop) but i just want something that i can have fun driving everyday and handle great. Thanks.

Oh and my budget would be around 1000-1500 i guess, could go higher if i need to.

I have BMR SFCs and a strut tower brace on my 96 convert. and they really make the car handle better. I would like to get a roll cage because it will strengthen the chasis but it's my daily driver and I do put people in the back seat sometimes.
