how do i remove the rear springs from my 99 camaro?

iam trying to remove the rear springs from my 99 camaro and i jack the car up and placed a jack stand on my subframe and i supported the rear axle with my jack and i removed the shock bolt and i lowered the jack and the spring wont come out, theres not enough space to remove it, i need at least a few inches to get the spring out? how do i get the spring out do i remove anything else? what can i do to get clearance?

You may have to unbolt the swaybar to frame mount and the lower control arm from the body. Try the swaybar frist. That may give you enough room.

I have never disconnected the sway bar, but I did have to disconnect or remove the PHR. That will let the rear end drop further.
