Help ... ticking brakes after new pads

I tracked my car about a month ago, burned up 2 sets of factory brakes (it was at watkins glen) and have since replaced all 4 pads and rotors... but i cant get rid of a tick which seems to be coming from the front driver side, beginning at about 30 mph and gets faster as I accelerate, and goes away with brake application. It will also go away in hard right hand corners. I went through everything to make sure no hardware was loose, and Im stumped. Any ideas? Could I have bent a factory caliper bracket so the pads sit in there too loose? There is some play in there but not a ton...

I am gonna put bigger brakes on the car, but not if i cant figure out what this ticking is first... (its def not an engine tick, not rpm dependant).

Re: Help ... ticking brakes after new pads

do you have a nail/rock in the tire?
do you have a nick on the rotor surface?
do you have the lugs tightened correctly (hey...dont get mad, what's the first question dell asks when you call customer support???? ..is the power button on???)

did you put shims in the calipers with the pads? if you have ls1's they have a pad isolator that goes on the abutment brackets. if you got cheapo pads they dont have them...replace them and get back with us.

This is something you can check real quick.I had a similar problem & it turned out to be some chrome inside the wheel was peeling & would hit the caliper as the wheel would turn.
