Suspension, Chassis, and Brakes Shocks, springs, cages, brakes, sub-frame connectors, etc.

Help needed identifying calipers/pads!!

Either i'm going NUTS or the guy at the parts house (O'Reillys) is a bone head, i asked him for a set of pads for my 97 Z28, he brings out these masive cast iron calipers & big *** pads, i was like , thats not right, he said thats the only thing showing for a 97 camaro, ALL 97 camaro's, even the Z28, this is whats on my car, i'm wanting to replace the pads, i got to looking at another post on here with a similar Q, the pix he is showing, the calipers look almost identicle to mine, & someone said they look like a stock caliper, nothing special, so can someone PLEASE help me figure this out

those pads you posted look like stock rear pads.

that is also a rear caliper, but you probably already knew that.

You didn't say if you are doing front or rear.

I'm doing both F&R & yes those are the rears, these seem to be aluminum, would the fronts be cast iron & much bigger?

Yes, the fronts are larger. i'd measure a set, but I don't think I have an LT1 set in the garage. All I have are LS1 brakes down there.

Yes,the fronts are much bigger and are cast.The front pads measure about 8.5" long in total.The front calipers are huge heavy things,sounds like the guy at the parts store had the right ones .
