Spohn will sell you a new non-adjustable panhard rod with greaseable poly bushings for 95.00. I have one and it is a great piece.

Re: help!! I bent my PANHARD ROD!!!

No problem driving the car if the bar doesn't look like it wil snap.

You will need an alignment after you change the bar.

Check the upper mount and the brace for damage.

Two bolts hold it in, they may be bady rusted, mine were. If they are bad you will need to buy new ones if you stay with OEM. The aftermarket may come with bolts.

If you can get the bolts loose not that hard to change.

Why would you need an alignment if you put a non-adjustable panhard bar on a rear wheel drive car? What exactly do you expect the alignment shop to adjust so that your rear will be aligned?

You can not adjust the rear end at all, so I never expected an alignment shop to adjust any thing on the rear, nor did I suggest that.

The front end is adjusted with the rear axle as a reference. A bent PHB will shift the rear axle side to side. When that is corrected, the font end may or may not be correctly aligned since you have just moved the rear axle.

Seems pretty obvious to me but since you needed an explanation I took the time to write one, Happy now?

Hey Z28barnett;

Thank you for the info regarding the rear axle reference in terms of a front end alignment. MAN - every day I am amazed at the knowledge offered here by you kind folks.

Re: help!! I bent my PANHARD ROD!!!

if you're looking for somehting really cheap, i got mine off ebay...double rod ended for 85 shipped. i'ts solid aluminum with xmr rod ends...he must have a hook up somewhere cuz the rod ends alone are worth 60. any way, rub some rubbing compound and polish it up and it looks sweet...not like anyone will ever see it, but it's nice to have shinies on the car.

i also believe the rule of an alignment after any suspension work
but theoretically, if the car was perfectly aligned before the rod was bent and u put in a new rod, shouldnt it still be aligned?

that is ofcourse assuming that the act that bent the panhard rod didnt have any effect on the rest of the suspension
