harness bar?

harness bar?

I seen one on lg motorsports site looked like a strut tower brace for the rear shock towers. does anyone really use these and are there anyone else who makes one ?

Rear shock towers, as in the rear hatch area? It's much better to just get sub frame connectors, or a roll cage.

ive seen those on cars like S14 silvias and other rear wheel drive imports, never on a Z though, get a cage you wont regret it!

Its sort of a useless product. If you use it to put a 5-point harness in the car, the harness won't be street legal, and the support bar probably wouldn't meet track requirements.

I don't think LG makes it any more. I don't think it attached to the "strut towers" since there are no struts in a 4th Gen, and nothing in the back other than a hole where the shocks mount. I think it bolted to the sheet metal under the side plastic panels.

It bolts to the mounting location where the rear seatbelts attach. So yes, it mounts under the side plastic panels. I have one for a Video Camera mount.
