HAL/QA1 "R" series

Has anyone tried the HAL/QAI "R" series racing shocks? I was wondering if there was any real benefit of these over the "F" series.

They are a true 90/10 shock, so the weight transfer will be better than the traditional F-series shock (and weight transfer is where it's at!!). You're not "supposed" to run them on the street, but the same applies to racing wheels. It's your call.

So the "F" series isn't a true 90/10? Are the HAL/QA1 springs a good spring to run (in front) for racing? Or are there better options out there? What would be the problem running the "R" series on the street? Too firm of a setting for compression?

A 90/10 would be pretty loose on the street. I don't believe the Gen-F's are a 90/10 either. As for the springs, I would run the QA1/HAL. You may want to give Jay @ Billingsley a call and see what he thinks.
