Talking GM LS1 front, GM LT1 rear ceramic pad users?

So, I am doing the LS1 front brake upgrade on my 95 bird, and I am gettin new pads. Seeing how I work for GM, I can get the front LS1 ceramic brake pads pretty reasonable, as well as the ceramic LT1 rears.

So, who is using the GM brand ceramic brake pads, and what do you think of them? I have a 438rwhp motor, so I do need to stop. I haven't road raced the thing, or dragged it yet, but it is above all a daily driver, so they must hold up to street driving.

I do plan on draggin it in the fall, but that isnt hard on brakes.

So, who has used them, and what do you think of them??

The part numbers I am lookin at are 89034047 for the front, and 88909669 for the rears.

Also, is it really worth it for the power slots or the cross drilled rotors? When I use a micrometer on my rotors, if they are too thin should I go for the very think GM rotors, or go for aftermarket with fancy groves in them? Like I said, this is a daily driver, and I dont want to be dickin with it alot... if the powerslots dont last long then I dont want to waste my time with them.

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

Nevermind about the cross drilled or slotted rotors, I have been searching and finally turned up that they suck. Todays brake pads dont need them, and the original equipment seems to be the best, so looks like GM it is!

I am very happy with my GM ceramic C5 brakes and Lt1 rear brakes. I tried the Z06 pads and there was a minimal improvement in braking and alot of brake dust. Unless your a serious roadracer the ceramics are your best bet.

Sweet!! Thanks man! I do road race, but on the road, so its not like I am constantly on the brakes... So ceramics, here I come!

I was under the impression that Raybestos makes the GM pads?

Now that would be interesting, because several people have told me that the Raybestos pads seem to work really well.
