Eibach Drag Launch Springs

I have a 97 Z28 and just got 18 in Z06 wheels with Nitto 555Rs in the back and want to get drag launch springs. I was wondering if they really drop ET times and if the do, what is typical? My car is a 6 speed. Also, will i even be able to lower the car since i have long tube headers???

Re: Eibach Drag Launch Springs

I would never tell anyone what to do with their car but 18 inch wheels and an Eibach drag launch kit don,t go together very well.
It will raise your car up in the rear ALOT. Very little you can do to lower it with the springs in besides taking out the isolators and even then its skyjacker time. The kit also comes with an airbag in the right rear and it would be hard to access it with a lowered car, unless you want to drill a hole somewhere in the wheelwell or back by the license plate. I run mine under the car and it would be impossible to adjust the bag at the track if the car were lowered, which would be impossible if your ARE running the rear springs in the kit.
I run an Eibach drag launch kit but I also run Weld Pro Stars in 15x5 and 15x10 in the rear.

If you wanna run the 18 inch wheels then I would advise against the drag launch kit. Even if you have different wheels for street and track your 18s will never look right with the drag launch kit on the car IMHO.

As always, its YOUR car so do what makes you happy.
