Do I need A compression spring For
Tool to take out the Back springs.Seems the right rear spring came out of its socket and was wondering if the spring had to be compressed to put it back into place.Never messed with springs and stuff. So don't want to make a mistake of injuring myself. We just installed some bmr springs and some bliestien shocks, but apparently one of those springs got a little loose and came out of its socket. What can I do?
Re: Do I need A compression spring For
No spring compressor needed. Just put jack stands under the rear sub frame. Then put a jack on the differential. Jack it up to take the tension off the shock mount. Unbolt the lower shock mount and slowly lower the jack. That should give you enough room to maneuver the spring back into place. I don't think you will have to remove the control arm bolts, or the panhard rod, but I'm not sure on that.
