the ls1 calipers (pbr calipers) are used on many gm vehicles now, they are dual piston calipers, they have a large pad surface and a greater hydraulic advantage giving u better braking effort

Re: difference from LS1 calipers-LT1?

The LT1 calipers are single piston, with small pads. This leads to uneven pad wear and pads that don't last as well. The LS1 pads are dual piston and are stronger, with larger pads as stated.

Also the rotor on the LT1 is around 10.8" and the LS1 rotor is 11.8". This gives better mechanical advantage to the LS1 system as well as a larger heat sink to bleed off heat.
