curb+rim=Bad, need help

I just hit a curb trying to avoid a guy on a bike that I didnt see and ended up jumping a curb. I now need a new rim for sure as it took several chunks out. I just dont know about the front suspension, it looks kind of crooked. Im guessing new shock and k member? I just dont have any idea where to take it and what Ill need etc... any ideas?

Thanks.
Jared

You will probably need a new spindle and check everything that connects to it like the A arms, steering linkage and swaybar. The shock could be gone but i dont think the K-member would be bad unless it jumped and really smacked the curb and bent it.

Ouch, I had the same exact thing happen to me. Took a piece out of my front rim about the size of a candy bar. I had to replace the subframe and the lower control arm. Check the wheel hub too.

Re: curb+rim=Bad, need help

ok, took it to a suspension and alighnment shop and could deff. see that I need a new lower control arm. He also said the stering knuckle needed to be replaced and he wasnt sure about the rack... I guess Ill have to look and see. They want $491.00 for just those two things so I may try it on my own. Any suggestions?
